STEM + Arts Integration with Jamie Root

In this multi-workshop residency fiber artist Jamie Root presents STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and math) using visual arts. By integrating visual arts into STEM curriculum students build 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Choose from one of these topics:
Properties of Matter, 2nd-3rd, 6 workshops*
Animals and Algorithms, 4th, 4 workshops*
How Animals Adapt, K, 3 workshops*

Fees: $127 single, $109 each for 2 or more on the same day / Materials cost per residency to be determined / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.

Program Length: 45 minutes
Requirements: Tables and chairs for students to work. Teachers must be present at all times during workshop.
