In this residency teaching artist Harlan Brownlee presents STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and math) using dance. By integrating dance into STEM curriculum, students build 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Choose from one of these topics:
Animals & Coding, K-4th, 3 to 6 workshops*
How Animals Adapt, K-4th, 5 to 10 workshops*
Properties of Matter and Materials, 1st-2nd, 3 workshops*
The Earth, 1st-3rd, 3 to 5 workshops*
Light Using Coding, 2nd-3rd, 3 to 5 workshops*
Flight, 3rd-5th, 3 to 6 workshops*
Energy, 4th-5th, 3 to 5 workshops*
Robotics, 4th-5th, 4 to 6 workshops*
Computer Systems, 4th-5th, 4 to 6 workshops*
Math Shapes & Numbers, K-2nd, 3 workshops* (also available as a single workshop)

Fees: $110 single, $95 each for 2 or more on the same day / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.
Maximum Audience Size: in person 30; virtual 15

Program Length: 45 minutes
Requirements: A large, clear space for dancing, such as a classroom with desks moved out of the way, a gymnasium, or multi-purpose room. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
