Great Race (The)

StoneLion Puppet Theatre

This VIRTUAL performance is available SYNCHRONOUS (live) or ASYNCHRONOUS (prerecorded).

Join StoneLion in this unique twist on an old classic. Based on the Aesop fable “The Tortoise and the Hare” this retelling with a “healthy twist” incorporates rod and shadow puppets. The rabbit has ruled the plains for years as he is the fastest, and in his mind the “bestest” critter around, lording it over his fans and fellow creatures. The soft-spoken turtle doesn’t think you have any right to be mean or rude just because you can do one thing better than others so she has decided to show that rabbit the error of his ways. She trains hard, eats healthy, and sets off to race the rabbit. What do you think happens? Will the jelly doughnut rule or will the salad speak, as we all learn that kindness is always the winner? Optional live chat back with puppets can be scheduled around the performance.
