Anti-Bullying Drama Residency

Theatre for Young America

All people will be affected at some point in their lives by bullying behaviors. No one deserves to be a victim of bullying. In this drama residency students will have the opportunity to identify types of bullying. By using the actor’s tools of voice, body, and imagination to enact various situations, students will discover safe solutions and strategies to deal with bullying behaviors. Students will be able to evaluate these solutions while at the same time exploring good communication skills in their enactments. In this residency students explore bullying by enacting bullies, their victims, and spectators. Students will model strategies for analyzing and dealing with bullying behaviors. Two teaching artists guide students through this drama residency exploring how to effectively respond to bullying.
