A free touring presentation for 8th grade and high schools
Now in its 26th year, the Dramatic STD/HIV Project is a collaborative program between The Coterie, UMKC Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy, and the KU School of Medicine to educate teens about the transmission and prevention of STDs and HIV/AIDS. Professional actors and health professional students, trained as peer educators, employ hard hitting monologues, slides and music to present stories of HIV+ teenagers in the Kansas City area. Followed by an intensive question and answer period, the award winning program is highly lauded for its balanced message.
Cost: Free of charge. A mileage fee may be charged for travel outside of the Kansas City metro area.
