Jay and Leslies Laughing Matters

American government takes center stage in this funny and lively performance by Leslie and Jay Cady of Laughing Matters. Topics include the three branches of government, the Electoral College, how a bill becomes a law, and presidential order of succession. Audience volunteers portray the House of Representatives, the Senate, and a series of ill-fated presidents.

 

For a more in-depth experience, How Freedom Works: the Deluxe Edition includes a workshop before the show where a group of 20 to 30 participants rehearse to be the Congress and the Supreme Court in the performance.

Fees: Performance only - $375 single, $635 double; Deluxe version - $539 single, $1078 double / The break between performances must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.
