Blues In Concert: Music From the Harlem Renaissance

This journey through the 20th Century Jazz world includes music, poetry, art and commentary of the Harlem Renaissance. Students will understand that the Harlem Renaissance was truly national in scope with roots in both Kansas and Missouri. Accompanying himself on guitar and banjo, Lem Sheppard performs Blues, Jazz, Spirituals, music from the African-American theater and original arrangements.

Fees: $339 single, $551 double / The break between performances must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.
