Principles of Flight

Moving MattersKC - Harlan Brownlee

Working with the four forces of flight; lift, weight, thrust, and drag, students are introduced to the principles of flight through dance.  Using their bodies as a way to demonstrate their understanding, students explore the physics that govern flight and the control surfaces and parts of airplanes that control the motion of an airplane through space.
