In this multi-workshop residency teaching artist Jaime Lyon presents STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and math) using visual arts. By integrating visual arts into STEM curriculum students build 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Grade Levels: K,1,2,3,4,5

Fees: $110 single, $95 each for 2 or more on the same day; Materials fee for in person residency: $3 per student / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.

Maximum Audience Size: in person 30; virtual 15

Program Length: 45 minutes

Requirements: In person: Ideal materials school supply: Dry erase board or flip chart; art supplies (sharpened pencil, eraser, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks & scissors). If multiple workshops are booked, teacher artist should set up in one room and have students come to her. If this isn't possible, there needs to be extra time between workshops for tear-down and set-up. Virtual: paper, pencils, pens, markers. Teachers must be present at all times during workshop.
