This customizable workshop allows students to explore the world of science through they eyes of visual artist, Paige Ahlenius.

 

Kindergarteners through 8th graders can choose one of these 3 projects:

  • Design your own crystal garden.
  • Investigate the properties of matter by creating a lava lamp.
  • Learn the secrets of invisible ink.

 

More advanced artistic engineers in 3rd through 8th grades can challenge themselves with this project:

  • Design and build a gravity carousel.

 

Discoveries abound when you put the arts and sciences together!

 

Grade Levels: K,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Fees: $127 single, $109 each for 2 or more on the same day; Materials fee of $2 per student / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.

Requirements: Artist needs a table to set up supplies and demonstrate. Students need space to work. For gravity carousel, students need scissors and glue. Teachers must be present at all times during workshop.
