Pop Art Screen Prints

The students will be introduced to the Pop Art Movement. The use of industrial processes and materials will be discussed as well as Andy Warhol's use of high intensity color, pattern, and other elements of art. Students will create an edition of a multi-colored screen print using embroidery hoops and sheer fabric. Printing vocabulary such as registration, edition, and traditional documentation will be stressed. Choose 1 of 2 methods for your residency, using contact paper or glue to make your screen. Residency can be completed in 3 to 5 days.

Fees: $110 $110 single, $95 each for 2 or more on the same day; Materials Fee: $1.50 per student / The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate. Title 1 Schools may qualify for funding assistance.
