Native American Legends and Their Importance

Dianne Moran

Listen to the stories of our elders; they teach us much in the way of living a good life. Our country's first people, the Native Americans, taught their children with legends filled with the beauties of nature. Two students participate by dressing in deer hides; others will volunteer to identify the many cultural items from the display table. Three tribal stories will be shared, and two students will hold live animals which appeared in the stories.
